May Your Feet Be Dressed Well
Someone email the History Channel and tell them that King Arthur and his Knights were looking in the wrong place. I found the Holy Grail and it is the National Shoe Convention which is held in Las Vegas every year.
At a recent convention I was actually able to meet the infamous Britt Sisters which have some of my favorite shoe designs. I love their shoes because they have a playful attention to detail and wearing a pair makes you feel like everyday is a special occasion.
Believe me, when you see someone wearing a pair of Shannon Britt Shoes, you recognize them immediately. They have a naughty sassiness that makes you want to be daring and dangerous all at the same time.
Of course, being sassy, dangerous, and daring (and playful) is what being a Diva all about.
Shannon Britt Shoes- Design Duo
Shannon Britt Shoes are a collaboration between the twin Britt sisters Shannon and Shelby Britt. Their luxurious line of well made sassy shoes are one of my favorite Italian made secrets.
Since I can’t keep a secret for very long (especially after a few glasses of Chardonnay) at a recent luncheon I began to brag about my Shannon Britt Shoes to anyone who was within 5 tables of me. There is good News for Shoe Divas everywhere because Shannon Britt Shoes will now grace the shelves of both Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms.
Not that I needed an excuse to make my pilgrimage to Shoe Mecca, but the chance of having another pair of Shannon Britt shoes while sharing a cocktail with my close friends makes me makes me very happy.
Shannon Britt Shoes
This fantastic shoe is called "Abbey" and has sassy Ostrich feathers adorned at the top and they say " Look at me, but you can’t touch either of us". This shoe makes me think that Envy is the greatest of the 7 Deadly Sins.
Jealous yet?
Trust me, your friends will be. This fabulous shoe is on sale on their website and comes in delicious cream as well.
SOMMER’S SIGNATURE COCKTAILS
So imagine I have my Shannon Britt Shoes on and I am at a fabulous cocktail party when a handsome waiter asks me" May I get you a cocktail?".
So trying to stay sassy and classy in line with my Abbey shoes I order a Capiroska. My waiter looks puzzled so I give him my go to recipe:
1. 1/4 parts of Grey Goose Le Citron
2. 1 lime cut into 8th.
3. 1 part simple syrup
4. Club Soda
In a shaker glass muddle simple syrup and lime wedges. Pour in Grey Goose Le Citron and ice. Shake vigorously and pour into low ball cocktail glass. Top off with Club Soda and garnish with lime wedge.
Sip and be a Diva.
